- Description
- Description of the work includes all labor, material and equipment necessary to stabilize approximately 1160 linear feet of lakeshore embankment along Lake Tewaukon and approximately 2640 linear feet of lakeshore embankment along Sprague Lake. Install joint planting (riprap with integral live woody species). Remove/replace one metal water control structure, and raise 900 linear feet of gravel roadway by approximately two feet. The work includes, but is not limited to, clearing and grubbing, de-watering, earthwork, site utilities, seeding, installing rip rap and geo-textile filter fabric, minor iron work, and placing roadway surface aggregate. The work also includes soil bioengineering and erosion control measures, which require specialized experience. The location of Tewaukon National Wildlife Refuge is in south-eastern North Dakota, approximately 5 miles south of Cayuga, North Dakota. The estimated value of the contract is $500,000-$1,000,000.00. The solicitation will be issued on or about March 19, 2002 with a closing date of on or about April 18, 2002. All interested parties shall submit a request for the solicitation to U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Attn: Mail Stop 60181, CGS, G. Sylliaasen, P.O. Box 25486, DFC, Denver, CO 80225.
