Description

NA This work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials and equipment and constructing the J. Bennett Johnston Waterway Project Visitor Center near Grand Ecore, Louisiana in Natchitoches Parish. Principal features of the work include clearing and gru bbing, excavation, fill, backfill, granular courses, asphaltic concrete access road and parking lot, pavement markings, sanitary sewers, gas distribution system, water supply lines, sewage grinder pumping station, segmental concrete retaining wall, intrusi on detection system, concrete block retaining wall, intrusion detection system, fire detection and alarm system, unit pavers, interior signage, security gate and fencing, drainage system, wastewater treatment plant, pedestrian walkways and timber bridge, g azebo, sidewalks, site furnishings, exterior signage, seeding and exterior planting, irrigation system, split-rail fence, security system, complete visitor center building and appurtenances, visitor center exhibits and associated work, providing as-built d rawings (both blueline and electronic), and environmental protection. Plans and specifications will be available on the Vicksburg Consolidated Contracting Office Web Page at http://www.mvk.usace.army.mil/contract/ and on compact disc at no charge.
