Provide materials and services necessary for Replacement of the WPB Pier, U. S. Coast Guard Station Montauk, Montauk, New York. The work includes, but is not limited to, demolition, removal, and disposal of the existing timber pier and piles including fuel, sanitary, water and compressed air lines and electrical power; construction of a new wood fixed pier and a concrete floating pier; providing and installing new pier-mounted electrical, water, sanitary, compressed air shore ties, and fuel station including all piping; and performance of all associated work. All work shall be accomplished in accordance with Specification 01-L5001 and Drawings 01-L5001, Sheets 1-26. All work shall be completed within 270 calendar days after Award. THE SOLICITATION WILL BE AVAILABLE ONLY BY INTERNET AT THE FOLLOWING ADDRESS http://www.uscg.mil/mlclant/fdcclant/contracts.html Any prospective bidder interested in bidding on this solicitation must REGISTER at this web site and download plans and specifications in order to be placed on the plan holder list. If not registered, the United States Government is not responsible for providing you with notifications of any changes to this solicitation. The solicitation will be available on the web site on March 8, 2002. The date for bid opening for Solicitation No. DTCG47-02-B-3EFK08 is April 9, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. in Norfolk, VA. The estimated construction cost is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The solicitation is unrestricted IAW the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 234990 and the small business size standard is $27.5 Million. Attention: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs)! The Department of Transportation (DOT), offers working capital financing and bonding assistance for transportation related contracts.
