- Description
- The DEERS/Medical Interface Operational Description (IOD) for MCSC, dated 12/15/01, is the future design that describes how the next generation of TRICARE contractors will access and use DEERS for enrollment, eligibility and other vital information to maintain the TRICARE operational requirements of the contracts. TMA is considering eliminating any version of the current ADP Manual chapter "Eligibility Verification" from the TRICARE Systems Manual, which is designed to support the ADP requirements of T-Nex. Instead, the IOD and any IOD-referenced documents would be the sole source for offerors to base their proposals instead of a chapter with detailed data elements and codes for each DEERS/DOES transaction. Those detail documents would be furnished after award. TMA is inviting your comments on the contents of the IOD and its attachments, and as to the functionality of only using the IOD for constructing proposals.
