- Description
- NASA/ARC plans to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) for the replacement of the air cooled air conditioning plant at building N223, NASA Ames Research Center, Moffett Field, CA. This is in accordance with a specific statement of work and drawings. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See note 26. This procurement is a total small business set-asid, See Note 1. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 235110 and $12.0, respectively. The order of magnitude for this procurement is between $25,000 and $100,000. The DPAS Rating for this procurement is DO C3. The anticipated release date of RFQ2-38085 is on or about 2/22/02 with an anticipated quote due date of on or about 3/22/02. All qualified responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency. In accordance with FAR 28.101-2(a),the offeror will be required to have two methods of payment protection. Examples are (1) An advance payment bond that secures fulfillment of the contractor's obligations under an advance payment provision, (2) An annual bid bond that is a single bond furnished by a bidder, in lieu of separate bonds, which secure all bids (on other than construction contracts) requiring bonds submitted during a specific Government fiscal year, or (3) An annual performance bond is a single bond furnished by a contractor, in lieu of separate performance bonds, to secure fulfillment of the contractor's obligations under contracts (other than construction contracts) requiring bonds entered during a specific Government fiscal year.
