Description

The Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, transportation, materials, equipment, parts, permits, licenses, tools, testing equipment and calibration equipment as necessary in accordance with the standards contained within solicitation. The Contractor shall be responsible for maintaining all aspects of the Backflow Preventer Certification Program at Naval Station Newport, RI. This includes, but is not limited to, administrative matters and documentation, performing surveys, and performing certification testing of BFP. This work entails, visiting various types of buildings, locating devices at the site from information provided on lists and drawings provided in the contract, performing testing, preparing, submitting reports on PC-prepared (MS EXCEL) spreadsheets, surveying new buildings, and other related tasks. The Contractor shall be responsible for additions and deletions to this list and for surveying all listed buildings annually at a minimum to ensure that the account is accurate. This is a Firm-Fixed Price Indefinite Quantity type contract with a base period plus a four (4) pre-priced twelve-month options. The government reserves the right to exercise the option period. NAICS code is 811412. Size standard is 5.0 million. This solicitation is 100% set aside for small business. Solicitation may be available on ESOL on February 26,2002. The estimated bid opening is March 26, 2002 at 2pm. INSTRUCTIONS: All Contractors are advised that registration in the DOD Contractor Central Registration is mandatory prior to award. Information regarding this registration may be obtained by accessing the website at www.ccr2000.com or by referring to DFARS Subpart 204.73. Offerors should submit verification of their firms registration with their bid proposal. Failure to be registered in CCR database may render firm ineligible for award. All firms are encouraged to register in http://esol.navfac.navy.mil to download information. No information will be sent via mail.
