- NA HQ, Military Traffic Management Command intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Stevedoring and Related Terminal Services for the 832nd Transportation Battalion, Guaynabo, Puerto Rico for a two year period commencing 15 Sep 2002. A negotiated, f ixed price, requirements type contract will be awarded. The contract covers the handling of Department of Defense sponsored cargo and other related operations at the 832nd, as well as the U. S. Naval Station Roosevelt Roads, Cieba, PR; and all commercial ports on the Island of Puerto Rico. The Contractor, as directed by the Contracting Officer, shall arrange for and provide stevedoring and related services, including labor, materials, and equipment incident thereto. Solicitation DAMT01-02-R-0038 will be issued o/a 19 Feb 2002 with a proposal due date approximately 30 days later. All responsible small business sources may submit an offer which will be considered. The solicitation will be available electronically at the MTMC web site: http://www.mtmc.army .mil then click on Business Center, then click on Solicitations. A pre-proposal conference will be held 28 Feb 2002 at Guaynabo, Puerto, Rico. Information concerning this conference will be posted with the solicitation and also emailed to companies responding to the email address(es) listed below. Please submit letter s of interest via email to Mr. Alan Kartchner, Contract Specialist, at kartchnera@mtmc.army.mil with a cc: to Mr. Jim Hayes, Contracting Officer, at hayesj@mtmc.army.mil .
