Description
The 3rd Contracting Squadron, 10480 22nd Street, Suite 229, Elmendorf AFB, AK, has a requirement for the Operation & Maintenance of the Forward Operating Bases at King Salmon Airport, AK and Galena Airport, AK located approximately 1 hour flight time from Anchorage, AK. SITE VISITS: The site visit for Galena will be conducted on 4-5 Mar 02. The site visit for King Salmon will be conducted on 7-8 Mar 02. Due to aircraft scheduling limitations an over-night stay will be required at each location. Due to limited aircraft seating, a restriction of two personnel per company is imposed per site. Offerors are requested to make airline reservations as soon as possible for the site visits and are required to inform 611 ASUS/PMF, Mr. Richard Homan, telephone (907) 552-8745, FAX (907) 552-3474 of the names and titles of the attendees as well as the flight arrival time and date for each site. Offerors making the trip to the sites are authorized arrival one day early and departure one day later at the sites for scheduling reasons. PRE-PROPOSAL CONFERENCE: The pre-proposal conference will be conducted on 14 Mar 02 at 10 a.m. at the Susitna Club, Daedalian Room on Elmendorf AFB. Conference will provide an opportunity to become acquainted with the solicitation requirements and pose questions specific to solicitation procedures. Questions regarding the Statement of Work may be submitted in writing at the conference. Interested offerors must submit written request with names of those attending, three days prior to conference, using one of the following methods; via email, FAX at (907) 552-2136 or mail to the address above. To gain access to Elmendorf AFB: report to the Boniface Visitor?s Center, with driver?s license or state ID card. Driver of vehicle must present driver?s license, registration and proof of insurance. Security personnel at gate will have a complete listing of attendees. (Note: Any costs associated with the site visit(s) and/or pre-proposal conference are at the expense of offeror.) TECHNICAL LIBRARY: A Technical Library will be available for use by offerors by appointment only. The Library will be accessible 19 February 2002 through 4 April 2002, Monday through Friday, except Holidays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Offerors interested in using the Library should contact 2Lt Robert Surrey at (907) 552-1898 or Mr. Don Thomas at (907) 552-5658 for an appointment time and Library location directions. The Government has determined the solicitation is 100% set-aside for competition of 8(a) firms serviced by the Small Business Administration (SBA) Alaska District Office which have the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code of 561210B in their 8(a) business development plan. Joint Ventures will be allowed on this competitive 8(a) solicitation, however, SBA must receive the joint venture agreement prior to proposal due date and approved before award of a resulting contract. If you are contemplating a joint venture on this project, you must advise you assigned Business Opportunity Specialist (BOS) as soon as possible. It is also recommended that the agreement be submitted as soon as practicable to ensure compliance with established regulations. Any corrections and/or changes can be made only when your BOS has adequate time for a thorough review before the proposal due date. NO CORRECTIONS AND/OR CHANGES ARE ALLOWED AFTER TIME OF SUBMISSION OF PROPOSAL OR BIDS. All other firms are deemed ineligible to submit offers. Please note that paper solicitations will not be issued, and all documents related to this acquisition will be posted on EPS. It is recommended that interested sources register through EPS to ensure they automatically receive all updated documents.
