- Schriever Air Force Base is seeking a cost-effective commercial solution to design, purchase, deliver, warranty and install playground equipment for the new Child Development Center (CDC)located at Schriever AFB, Colorado. Playground design and install shall include site preparation, playground equipment, pour in place, fall-zone resilient surfaces, concrete walkways and wheeled toy pathways, storage sheds with concrete pads, all necessary site preparation for concrete and drop zone surfaces, sand boxes, and internal fences with gates. Installationo f equipment and surfaces shall meet all manufactures specifications and government regulations and guidance. This facility is still currently under construction with an estimated completion date of April 2002. Completion of playground installation shall be NLT 15 June 2002. This RFI is issued for informational and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation, a synopsis of a solicitation, or a commitment on the Government to later publish a solicitation or award a contract based on the information received. The Government shall not reimburse the costs of preparing or submitting a response to this RFI. All information submitted would be treated as informtion only. It shall not be used as a proposal. Any proprietary information being submitted should be clearly marked as such. FAR 52.215-3, Requist for Information or Solicitation for Planning Purposes (Oct 1997), is hereby incorporated to this RFI by reference. Currently there is not a Site visit scheduled for this RFI however, one will be scheduled at the time of a Solicitation or at request in accordance with (IAW) FAR 52.237-1, Site Visit (April 1984). A complete RFI, Statement of Objective (SOO), dimension drawings, U.S. Corp of Engineers Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC 4-740-14 dated 27 Dec 01), Air Force Instruction (AFI) 34-248, Child Development Centers, and sample CLIN structure are uploaded as a part of this RFI
