- Potential Sources Sought: The Coast Guard is seeking qualified sources that can provide approximately 54 Ulstein Propeller AS parts. These parts are used on variable controllable pitch propeller and hub systems used on the 378? WHEC and 210? ?A? WMEC Class Coast Guard Vessels. It is the government?s belief that only Rolls Royce Commercial Marine (formerly Ulstein AS), Bird-Johnson or Propulsion Systems Inc. or their authorized distributors can provide these variable controllable pitch propeller and hub system parts. However, other potential sources having the expertise and required capabilities can submit data discussing the same in duplicate within 15 days from the date of this announcement. The following information must be provided to evaluate the acceptability of the offered parts: 1) Complete and current engineering data to demonstrate the acceptability of the offered variable controllable pitch and hub systems parts (i.e. salient physical, functional and serviceability characteristics), or 2) Data that the offered parts have been satisfactorily manufactured for the government or the original equipment manufacturer.
