The EPA, Headquarters Office of Site Remediation Enforcement (OSRE), is contemplating award of a sole source cost plus fixed fee contract to the incumbent contractor, DPRA, to provide advisory and assistance services. These services will be in support of remediation efforts to plan, implement, and evaluate programs, strategies, guidance, and regulations under the Agency's CERCLA/SARA of 1986, new initiatives under CERCLA and the Superfund Reauthorization Act, LUST, OPA, and RCRA Corrective Action. The statutory authority for this sole source procurement is 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), per FAR 6.302-1(a)(2). This is an interim action intended to ensure continuity of support by providing a temporary "bridge" contract between the OSRE-1 and OSRE-2 contracts. The period of performance will be from April 1, 2002 through no later than December 31, 2002. The approximate value of this contract will be $1 million or less. This is an announcement for a contemplated sole source award. However, any proposal submitted by a responsible source will be considered by the EPA. See Note 22.
