Description
The Naval Aviation Depot, MCAS, Cherry Point, NC has a requirement for the design, manufacture, delivery and installation of a Coordinate Measurement Machine. The CMM shall consist of the following major components: (1) One (1) Base Machine with measuring range of at lease 6000mm (236.2?) x 3800mm (149.61?) x 2500mm (98.43?); (2) One (1) 3D analog probing system with resolution <0.1 um; point to point; (3) Two (2) fully automatic Probe Pin Changers with minimum total of 12 stations; (4) One (1) Active Vibration Isolation System for machine and foundation; (5) One (1) Geometric Software capable of measuring complex geometry such as Spiral Bevel Gears, Worms, Turbine Blades, and Helical gears. The software must have the ability to import 2D and 3D IGES type files, and it must be compatible with existing PCDMIS, (Version 3.2), software currently installed in the Precision Measurement Center at NADEP Cherry Point. The computer operating system must be Windows NT 4.0; and (6) The machine Z-ram, Probe Head, and Probe Pin Cluster shall have collision protection. The equipment shall be already developed, state-of-the-art, market proven, commercial CMM with a proven reliability track record. The requested item is commercial in nature and will fall under the purview of commercial items in accordance with Subpart 13.5 ? Test Program for Certain Commercial Items of the Federal Acquisition Regulation. Deliver FOB Destination MCAS, Cherry Point, NC. Provide Cage Code, Dun & Bradstreet Number, and Tax Payer?s Identification Number. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which will be considered. As of 31 May 1999 all Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database as a condition for contract award.
