- This procurement is for a Hot Water Weed Treatment System. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. N47408-02-T-0314 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 97-19. The procurement is 100% set-aside for Small Business; NAICS Code is 333112 and the small business size standard is 500 or less employees. Delivery is to be quoted FOB Destination to Norfolk, VA. CLIN 0001: QUANTITY (2 Each); DESCRIPTION: Aquacide Hot Water Weed Treatment System. The standard equipment shall be similar or equal to the function of an Aquacide Model 22-500-5.5HP. The system should be constructed of high quality materials and designed for use in a wide range of outdoor settings. Each complete system to consist of one of the following components: SMI. 22-500 Aquacide 5.5 HP/3GPM, SMI 22-502 Hose for Aquacide 100 ft long, SMI 22-503 Aquacide 4 inch Line Applicator, SMI 222-505 Aquacide De-Calcifier, SMI 22-506 Aquacide 100 gallon tank and frame, SMI 22-507 aquacide trailer. Must include 3 sets of Operation Manuals. Two manuals to shipped with the equipment and one manual to be shipped to: NFESE, Pollution-Prevention Program Code 422, 1100 23rd Avenue, Port Hueneme, CA 93043 Attn: Manny Perez. FAR Provisions 52.212-1 and 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items applies. Evaluation criteria will be lowest priced technically acceptable item. Offerors are to include a completed copy of FAR Provision 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with its offer. A copy of this FAR provision can be obtained through download using the World Wide Web with arnet.gov/far. FAR Clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, applies as well as FAR Clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes for Executive Orders-Commercial Items. The following FAR clauses cited in 52.212-5 apply; 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.222-37, 52.225-1, 52.225-13, and 52.232-33. Request for quotation (RFQ) number is N48407-02-T-0314. Quotations without this literature will not be evaluated for technical acceptability.
