- Description
- The purpose of this notice is to notify interested parties that the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Patuxent River, Maryland, intends to non-competitively procure the services and material necessary to support Engineering Developmental Unit #2 (EDU-2) deployment to participate in the joint exercise Millennium Challenge in support of the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Tactical Control Systems (TCS) program. This effort includes, but is not limited to, correction of Situation Reports and system testing, flight operations support, and hardware logistics support. This will be a sole-source procurement to General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc., San Diego, CA under a modification to an existing contract, N00019-99-C-0015. Successful completion of this effort requires intimate knowledge of the Predator hardware and software, and related subsystems. General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc., is the designer, developer, and sole manufacturer of the Predator Data Control Module and is the only known source with the in-depth knowledge of the equipment necessary to perform this effort to meet schedule requirements. The estimated period of performance is February 2002 through September 2002. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.
