- Travis AFB is seeking sources interested in providing Transient Alert Services to include the recovery and launch of various aircraft. This is a market survey for written information only. This is NOT a solicitation announcement for proposals. There is no solicitation available at this time. This is a market search whereby the Government is seeking written information only from sources interested in providing these services. A separate synopsis will be issued if and when the service is to be procured. The contractor shall provide all management, personnel, training, tools, equipment, supplies, and vehicles necessary to perform Transient Alert Services at Travis AFB, CA. These services include, but are not limited to, aircraft management, arrival, processing, minor maintenance, and departure. All services will be accomplished in accordance with Air Force Technical Orders. Any interested firm should submit a capability statement, which demonstrates the firm's qualifications/ability to provide the required services along with a list of current customers. The deadline for submission of the capability statement is 22 Feb 2002. The primary point of contact for this action is Sean Pensis, e-mail: sean.pensis@travis.af.mil. The Government does not intend to award a contract based upon this Sources Sought announcement. This market research does not constitute an invitation for bid or request for proposal and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government will not reimburse contractors for any cost incurred for their participation in this survey.
