Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons intends to negotiate and award a Sole-Source contract for solid waste collection and disposal services for the Federal Correctional Complex located within the city limits of Victorville, California. The Government intends to make this sole source award to The City of Victorville, 14343 Civic Drive, Victorville, CA 92392. The City of Victorville is the exclusive franchisee as granted by the Municipal Code Section 6.36.040 and is known as "Solid Waste Garbage Regulations, as amended. The contract will be for a Base Year: Date of Award through 12 months from date of award, Option Year #1: 13 months through 24 months from date of award, Option Year #2: 25 months through 36 months from date of award, Option Year #3: 37 months through 48 months from date of award, Option Year #4: 49 months through 60 months from date of award. The Government has unilateral authority to exercise each of four option years. The contract will include the following services: 1) pick up and empty one 35 cubic yard compactor Location (A): Food Service Loading Dock; located behind Food Service inside the fence at the Federal Correctional Institution two (2) times per week on Monday and Thursday, (96 pulls per year); 2) pick up and empty one 35 cubic yard compactor Location (B): Food Service Loading Dock; located behind Food Service outside the fence at the Federal Prison Camp once (1) every other week on a Weekday, (24 pulls per year). 3) Two locations are pending the activation of the United States Penitentiary and the second Federal Correctional Institution, which pickups will be at a minimum of twice per week. Services will be required during the normal work week, Monday through Friday between the hours of 5:00AM and 11:00AM every week (excluding federal holidays). It is anticipated that this solicitation will result in a Firm Fixed Requirements type contract. It is anticipated that the RFQ 60020-0002 shall be available on 02/26/02. The RFQ 60020-0002 shall be available on the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities via the internet at http://www.fedbizopps.gov, FAR 5.207. Hard copies of the solicitation document will not be available except in extreme circumstances and only if issuance in this manner is determined to be in the Government's best interest. All future information about this acquisition, including amendments, will be distributed through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition.
