- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for Commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR Subpart 12.6 and FAR Subpart 13, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a proposal is requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Government intends to award a Purchase Order to Salem Computer Group, 465 Corporate Square Drive, Winston-Salem, NC 27105, the only source that can provide the BusTech/Salem solution which acts like a switch to transfer data to and from mainframes and servers without the need for extra storage, adapters, and software. The Bus/Tech solution includes the following hardware, software, and maintenance: Item 0001, # 12?14-00-001, Bus-Tech, Inc. DataBlaster II ? Model 120 w/4 SCSI, quantity 2; item 0002, # 12-01530-00-001, Bus-Tech Differential Upgrade Kit, quantity 8; item 0003, #12-08818-00-005, Bus-Tech Dual Channel Ultra SCSI Differential Adapter, quantity 1; item 0004, #12-08818-11-003, Bus-Tech Dual Channel Ultra SCSI Differential Adapter, quantity 3; item 0005, #12-01474-00-001, 1st Year Standard Maintenance, quantity 2; item 0006, #12-01531-00-001, 2nd Year Standard Maintenance, quantity 2; item 0007, 12-01642-00-001, DataBlaster File Transfer software for MVS, quantity 1, item 0008, #12-01643-00-001, 1 HP UX and 3 AIX modules, item 0009, #12-01642-00-001, DataBlaster File Transfer software 1st and 2nd Year maintenance, File Transfer for MVS, quantity 1; item 0010, #12-01643-00-001, 1st and 2nd Year maintenance, 1 HP & 3 AIX modules. The General Services Administration Federal Systems Integration & Management Center, (GSA/FEDSIM), will issue a firm-fixed price Purchase Order utilizing simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with the FAR Part 13. This solicitation incorporates all of the applicable provisions and clauses as through FAC 52-20, as if stated in full text as well as the terms and conditions of FAR Part 52.212-1. Interested parties who can provide the required products and services shall submit a proposal to GSA/FEDSIM, 6354 Walker Lane, Suite 200, Alexandria, VA 22310, not later than 4:00PM February 20, 2002, ATTN: Ms. Vernessa Younger.
