- The work is located at Fort Stanwix National Monument in Rome, New York, Oneida County.--The work of this contract includes demolition and disposal of 32,000 sq. ft. liquid asphalt-treated trail and gravel sub-base.--Construct trail by compacting sub-grade 8?thick gravel sub-base and crushed stone gravel 4? thick with liquid asphalt (HFMS-2).--Compact to a density of not less than 95%.?Re-grade side slopes on both sides of trail for smooth drainage.--Fertilize, mulch and seed. Estimated mail date of solicitation is February 22, 2002 and quotation due date will be indicated in that package. This project is being issued pursuant to P.L. 100-656 Small Business Competitive Demo Program and is open to all size businesses. The estimated construction range is between $25,000 and $100,000.?Work of the project to start as soon as weather allows.--The solicitation, plans, and specifications for this project will be issued in paper copy.--To be included on the bidder?s list, each prospective bidder should request a solicitation package in writing on company letterhead via facsimile only to Judith A.
