- Description
- The Department of the Treasury, U.S. Secret Service intends to procure dry cleaning and laundry service for various garments and also blankets and draperies. Items will be picked up and delivered at 11 locations in the D.C. Metro Area. The contract term is a base year plus four 12-month option periods. The estimated number of items to be cleaned in a year is 130,000. There is no requirement to clean items that might contain bio-hazardous material. The procurement is subject to Service Contract Act wages. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 812310. The corresponding size standard is $5,000,000. The RFP will be issued on or about 8 February 2002 and the closing date and time is 28 February 2002, by 4:00 p.m. E.S.T, unless otherwise stated in the solicitation. A price and technical proposal is required. Award will be based on Low Price/Technically acceptable criteria. See solicitation for details.
