- Description
- The Marine Corps Tactical Systems Support Activity (MCTSSA), Camp Pendleton, CA 92055-5171 is seeking information on Pre-fabricated Modular Buildings/Trailers for classroom and training purposes. This Request for Information (RFI) is the initial stage of market research under Part 10 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and is not a Request for Proposals (RFP). The Government does not intend to pay for any information furnished pursuant to this RFI. The MCTSSA Contracts Office, Camp Pendleton, CA is inquiring about availability to lease or buy a pre-fabricated modular building/trailer that will serve as a training facility to supports spontaneous, planned and required training and education for military and civilian employees. The Government seeks information on the configuration and estimated cost for the following general specifications. The Government desires an a pproximately 7200 square foot facility with CLASSROOMS; 4 rooms with a capacity for 25 students, computer desks, appropriate space for an instructor and screen/equipment room in front of the classroom, retractable, soundproof walls between each classroom, 2 floor mounted LAN connections per computer, and 1 small communication closet. The closet should be easily accessible from the classroom entrance. RESTROOMS; Male and Female. Restrooms should include the required number of toilets and faucets to accommodate max capacity of students based on the number of classrooms, water and mildew resistant flooring, two (2) complete shower stalls per male and female restrooms and 3 lockers. KITCHEN (Break room); The break room/kitchen should include counter space, overhead cabinet space with room for cabinet mounted microwave, industrial size sink with hot & cold running water, garb age disposal, at least 2 phone and network outlets, and room for a standard refrigerator. OFFICE SPACE/CONFERENCE ROOM; Office space should include an open space that will comfortably fit a minimum of 10 cubicles of typical workspace size. Office spaces should be configured with appropriate LAN and telecommunication connections, and wall mounted electrical outlets per industry standard installation practices. The conference room should be large enough to conduct a meeting with 15 people and include LAN and telecom outlets. ENTRANCE/RECEPTION AREA; An entrance into an open reception area is desired, where students can check in and wait to be served. The reception area should have a counter and workspace for an administrator. There would be one (1) small office adjacent to the reception area with a window to view the reception area. Both reception area and small office s hould include LAN and electrical outlets. STORAGE ROOM; The storage room would be a medium sized (10?x 11?) room with standard electrical outlets. The main communication closet should contain appropriate room for all phone and data cabling to terminate. Any response to this RFI should include simple drawings (please do not submit blueprints), suggested design, and overall estimated cost.
