- Description
- NAVSEA Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division (NUWC) Keyport requires ISO 9001:2000 registration support and consulting services in preparation for registration. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6.as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is N00253-02-Q-0075 and is issued as a Request for Quote. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular No. 19. Line 0001; provide support services to NUWC Keyport in preparation for ISO 9001:2000 registration. Perform off-site document review of Keyport documents to ISO 9001:2000 standards to determine ch anges necessary to meet ISO 9001:2000 requirements. Analyze data and report findings. Perform on-site process review of Keyport processes to ISO 9001:2000 standards to include Keyport Codes 10, 20, 30, 40, 80 and 90 (via video teleconference of interviewing Code 90 personnel visiting Keyport). Analyze data and report findings. Perform on-site process review of Keyport Code 90 processes to ISO 9001:2000 standards in San Diego and Hawaii. One combined 5-day trip is planned. Analyze data and report findings. Develop and revise ISO 9001:2001 implementation plan and schedule. Updates to be provided to NUWC monthly. Develop ready-for-registration check sheet by 31 March 2002. Perform three on-site audits, using check sheet to validate progress toward registration. Audits to be conducted by 30 June 2002, 30 September 2002, and 31 December 2002. Analyze data and report find ings including issues/concerns that would affect ISO 9001:2000 registration. Provide 20 consulting days support and technical guidance to NUWC Keyport in preparation for ISO 9001:2000 registration. The support can include teaching on-site (Keyport) the ISO 9001:2000 Management Briefing (4 hours/maximum 20 people per workshop), the Understanding ISO 9001:2000 (duration 1 day, maximum 20 people per workshop), or Lead-Auditor Training (24 hours/maximum 20 people per workshop). Vendor will provide a master paper copy of training material for any on-site training and NUWC Keyport will perform copying, collating and similar support tasks for producing the training workbooks. Performance period: 22 February 2002 through 31 December 2002. Due to time constraints, a vendor offering services shall have minimum of 1-year?s recent experience working with Keyport?s ISO process and orga nization. Simplified Acquisition Procedures shall be used for this procurement. The following provisions apply to this solicitation 52.212-1 Instructions to Offeror ?
