Description

The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools, and supervision to demolish existing wood flooring at the Weight Room, Bldg. 2, and install a new reinforced concrete floor with rubber tile surfacing. Work location is USCG, Integrated Support Command, KODIAK, ALASKA. Work includes backfilling, compaction, installation of a reinforced concrete slab on grade, and installation of rubber floor tiles according to statement of work, specifications, and drawings. Total surface area is approximately 3850 square feet. Contractor is responsible for verifying square footage before quoting. GOVERNMENT FURNISHED MATERIALS: None Performance Period is 28 days. Work anticipated to take place during June, July, or August 2002. SUBMITTALS DUE BEFORE AWARD include but are not limited to: manufacturer's catalogs, performance charts, instructions, brochures, diagrams, etc., in addition to laboratory data, MSDS's, references/qualifications. Lack of adequacy of references shall be at the sole discretion of the government and may constitute grounds for disqualification. CONTRACTOR SHALL COMPLY WITH requirements of: ASTM, CFR, MIL SPEC, FED STD, applicable OSHA regulations, ACI 304, ACI 347, UBC, UPC, Corp of Engineers Safety Manual 385-1-1, health codes, and Coast Guard Safety Regulations. ADDITIONAL SPECIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS ARE CONTAINED IN STATEMENT OF WORK THAT WILL BE INCLUDED WITH REQUEST FOR QUOTE DOCUMENTS WHEN THEY ARE MAILED ON APPROXIMATELY February 19, 2002. A SITE VISIT will be held approximately two weeks before quote is due. Location: U.S. Coast Guard, Integrated Support Command, Kodiak, Alaska. Estimated price is between $25,000 and $100,000. The proposed contract will be awarded under the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program. All responsible sources may submit a written quotation, which shall be considered. Solicitation package issue date is approximately February 19, 2002. Written quotes will be due on / about March 19, 2002.
