- Fleet & Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound, in support of Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, intends to solicit for a variety of Service Steam Plant materials, such as: 1) Tubing, seamless, CL-200, CNA 90/10, various sizes; 2) Tees, CL-200, SWDG, CNA 90/10, various sizes; 3) Boss, CNA 90/10, SWDG x WLD, various sizes; 4) Elbows 90, CNA 90/10, SWDG or bell-end, various sizes; 5) Couplings, CNA 90/10, seamless slip-on, various sizes; 6) Union Assembly, 400#, CNA 90/10, SWDG, various sizes; 7) Flanges, CNA 90/10, SWDG, various sizes; and 8) o-rings, ethylene propylene shelf life at least 1st qtr 2003, various sizes; 9) insulation, snap-on, fiberglass and calcium silicate, various sizes; 10) paint, latex, shelf life at least 1st qtr 2003; 11) paint, spray, enamel, shelf life at least 1st qtr 2003. The resulting contract will be a firm fixed price supply type contract. Multiple awards may be made. FOB Destination, at Bremerton WA. Delivery is required no later than 1 March 2002. This procurement is 100% small business set-aside. It is anticipated that the RFQ will be issued on or about 1/30/02, with a 4-day closing. When issued, the RFQ will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) web link "www.neco.navy.mil". All offerors wishing to submit an offer are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFQ from this website (WinZIP is required) and to frequently monitor that site for any amendments to the RFQ. This office will not maintain a solicitation mailing list. Paper copies of the RFQ and/or amendments will not be mailed. Failure to respond to electronically posted solicitations and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of proposals may render your proposal nonresponsive and result in rejection. No telephone requests for the RFQ will be accepted. An email request to "julie_a_thomas@puget.fisc.navy.mil" will be accepted in the event that an offeror experiences problems downloading the RFQ from the NECO website. All responsible sources may submit an offer. FAR Parts 12 & 13 (Commercial and Simplified Acquisition procedures) will be used.
