- Description
- Illiana Health Care System intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with American Red Cross Services, Heart of America Region, 405 W. John H. Gwynn Jr. Ave, Peoria, IL 61605-2475 to furnish blood and blood supplies to this facility. The Government believes that only one responsible source can provide the supplies/services that will satisfy agency requirements. Source must be identified by the center for Biologics, Evaluation and Research of the Food and Drug Administration as a supplier and must comply with all FDA regulations. The source must also be accredited by the American Association of Blood Banks and comply with the Clinic Laboratory Improvement Act. In an emergency, source must be able to provide blood and/or blood proeducts within two or three hours. The solicitation will issue O/A 2/11/02 with proposals due O/A 2/26/02. The NAICS code is 621991. Contract period will be 3/1/02 through 2/28/03 with the option to renew for three, one-year periods.
