- Description
- This is a Notice of Intent to award a sole-source purchase order for repair services under authority of FAR 6.302.1 to Ion Track Instruments. Ion Track is the manufacturer of the explosive detection equipment and is the only known source of the parts and technical knowledge required for the high level repair of their proprietary equipment. The requirement is for repairs that are beyond the knowledge and skill of Department of State trained technicians. A time and material purchase order issued under simplified acquisition procedures is anticipated. This is not a request for quotation or proposal. Any firm challenging the sole source award of this purchase order must submit their response to the contracting specialist via email NLT February 5, 2002.
