Description

The Embassy of the United States in Rome, Italy, requires local guard services to prevent unauthorized access; protect life; maintain order; deter criminal attacks against employees, dependents and property and terrorist acts against U.S. assets; and prevent damage to Government property. The Contractor shall furnish managerial, administrative, and direct labor personnel to accomplish all work required in the contract. The estimated number of hours of armed type guard services is 188,000 each year in Rome and 19,700 guard hours in Florence. The contract will cover guard services at the U.S. Embassy, annexes, embassy coupound, Vatican Embassy, seven residences and U.S. Consulate in Florence. Contract period is one year with four, one-year options to renew. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered. An announcement was previously published in the CBD on this on January 27, 2000 and again Dec. 14, 2000.
