Description
Public Announcement of Proposed Procurement (Offerors sought). The Federal Aviation Aviation Administration (FAA) Western-Pacific Region has a requirement to provide armed security guards at the Los Angeles International Airport Air Traffic Control Tower in Los Angeles, California. The successful contractor shall provide all labor, equipment (other than Government furnished equipment), transportation and supervision to provide two (2) armed security guards 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends and all holidays. Interested firms are invited to submit a written request to the Contracting Officer for an RFO package, or reply via internet by using the "Reply to SIR" button located below this announcement. To respond via FAX, include company name, address, telephone and FAX numbers, and name of contract person. VERBAL REQUESTS WILL NOT BE HONORED. All requests must be received no later than 1:00 PM (West Coast Time), on February 8, 2002. A MANDATORY site visit and pre-bid conference will be held on a date to be announced later. A six (6) month base contract with four (4) option years will be awarded. The FAA will evaluate qualified offers and will award a contract based on "best value" to the FAA considering total cost to FAA, written narrative of qualifications and approach to work, references of past performance, and financial capacity. The FAA may make an award without communicaitons, fact-finding and/or negotiations; however, communications, fact-finding and negotiations may be conducted with one or more firms to determine the best value to the FAA.
