- Description
- The United States Navy, Naval Facilities Engineering Command issues a notice of intent to invite bids for the construction of an Air Passenger and Cargo Terminal Building at Aviano Air Base, (PN) Italy. The general scope of work involves: This approximately 3020m2 gross area Air Passenger and Cargo Terminal building is a one storied building with reinforced concrete foundation, reinforced concrete columns and beams, floor, roof and in filled masonry walls. The Cargo facility also has an open area of approximately 1,000m2 paved cargo holding area. The roof is clay tile hipped roof on concrete slab. Exterior finishes are stucco. The building comprises of offices, operation rooms, computer, radar room, communications facilities and other ancillary spaces to support Air passenger movement and security, freight movement and storage and will be equipped with fire alarm and sprinkler fire protection systems. Heating, ventilation and air conditioning with central chillers and boilers will be provided. Site work, including concrete walkways, landscaping, connection to water, sewer and electrical installations, telecommunications cabling and site lighting are required. All applicants must be certified by the NATO procurement offficer at the U.S. Department of Commerce, Office of Telecommunications Technoplogies.
