- NAICS Code: 541690 The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency intends to solicit the services of MJ Research Inc. on a sole source basis. The contractor will provide services for the sequencing of polygenetic and function-specific genes. The Contractor will (1) provide technical support to collect data from a substantial number of DNA clones (2,000 to 3,000 clones) and, if necessary, for bacterial fingerprints, (2) The Contractor shall provide for each sequencing run (i.e.,one per gel plate), quality control and quality assurance documentation, (3) The Contractor shall provide technical advice to improve the quality of the sequencing data when a minimum of 1,000 bases are not produced in a sequencing reaction, (4) The contractor will have five working days to process the samples and to send the data to the Project Officer's email address, (5) The Contractor provide the data in an alternate format (e.g., zip disk) when email is not a viable option due to the size of the data files. This notice of intent is not a Request for Quotations. However, any firm that believes it is capable of meeting the EPA requirements may submit technical documentation to establish the potential of complying with the Statement of Work requiements. Such documentation must be submitted to the point of contact within 15 days of electronic posting of this notice. A determination of the Government not to compete with the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discteion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for determining whether conduct a competitive procurement. The intended procurement vehicle is a firm fixed price purchase order.
