Description
THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN SUBPART 12.6, AS SUPPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; PROPOSALS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. THIS SOLICITATION IS ISSUED AS A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION (RFQ). THE SOLICITATION DOCUMENT AND INCORPORATED PROVISIONS AND CLAUSES ARE THOSE IN EFFECT THROUGH THE MOST CURRENT FEDERAL ACQUISITION CIRCULAR. THIS RFQ IS FOR 1 EACH REPAIR KIT, TUBING APPLICABLE TO THE B-1B AIRCRAFT. PART NUMBER IS DLTFRPSKT40000. NSN 5180-01-143-3282. KIT CONTAINS 5 TOOL ASSEMBLY BOXES, 6 POWER UNITS, 9 SWAGE HEAD ASSEMBLIES, 9 INSPECTION GAGES, 6 MARKING TOOLS, 5 HEX KEY CUTTERS, 5 SPARE CUTTER WHEELS, 6 DEBURRING TOOLS, 9 PUMPING UNITS, 1 12 FT HYDRAULIC HOSE, 1 15 FT AIRLING WITH ON/OFF SWITCHES. THE PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION IS FOR SUPPLIES OR SERVICES FOR WHICH THE GOVERNMENT INTENDS TO SOLICIT AND NEGOTIATE WITH ONLY ONE SOURCE UNDER AUTHORITY OF FAR 6.302. NOTE: "B" OMBUDSMAN ALL POTENTIAL OFFERORS SHOULD CONTACT THE BUYER/PCO IDENTIFIED ABOVE FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION AND/OR TO COMMUNICATE CONCERNS, IF ANY, CONCERNING THIS ACQUISITION. IF YOUR CONCERNS ARE NOT SATISFIED BY THE CONTACTING OFFICER, AN OMBUDSMAN HAS BEEN APPOINTED TO HEAR SERIOUS CONCERNS THAT ARE NOT RESOLVED THROUGH ESTABLISHED CHANNELS. THE PURPOSE OF THE OMBUDSMAN IS NOT TO DIMINISH THE AUTHORITY OF THE PROGRAM DIRECTOR OR CONTRACTING OFFICER, BUT TO COMMUNICATE SERIOUS CONTRACTOR CONCERNS, ISSUES, DISAGREEMENTS, AND RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE APPROPRIATE GOVERNMENT PERSONNEL. WHEN REQUESTED, THE OMBUDSMAN WILL MAINTAIN STRICT CONFIDENTIALITY AS TO THE SOURCE OF THE CONCERN. THE OMBUDSMAN DOES NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE EVALUATION OF PROPOSALS OR IN THE SOURCE SELECTION PROCESS. WHEN APPROPRIATE, POTENTIAL OFFERORS MAY CONTACT OMBUDSMAN MAJOR HARRINGTON AT 478-926-1922.
