- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) has identified a need to establish a national contract for reinforced and non-reinforced security wire barbed tape, installation stainless ties, and galvanized ground anchors. The contractor shall provide the security wires, ties, and anchors to various FBOP locations throughout the United States, Hawaii and Puerto Rico on an as needed basis. This solicitation is anticipated to result in a single award, Firm-fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery, Requirements type contract. The anticipated term of the contract includes a one year base year period and four one year option periods. The estimated quantities for the Base Year is for Security Wire Barbed Tape, Reinforced, 30" diameter for 237,875 Ln Ft; Security Wire, Barbed type, Non-reinforced 30" diameter for 136,752 Ln Ft, Installation Stainless Ties for 201,300, and Ground Galvanized Anchors for 23,100. The estimated quantities for the Option Year One is for Security Wire Barbed Tape, Reinforced, 30" diameter for 379,500 Ln Ft; Security Wire, Barbed type, Non-reinforced 30" diameter for 177,760 Ln Ft; Installation Stainless Ties for 277,000; and Ground Galvanized Anchors for 32,000. The estimated quantities for the Option Year Two is for Security Wire Barbed Tape, Reinforced, 30" diameter for 245,000 Ln Ft; Security Wire, Barbed type, Non-reinforced 30" diameter for 150,000 Ln Ft; Installation Stainless Ties for 221,600; and Ground Galvanized Anchors for 25,700. The estimated quantities for the Option Year Three is for Security Wire Barbed Tape, Reinforced, 30" diameter for 255,000 Ln Ft; Security Wire, Barbed type, Non-reinforced 30" diameter for 120,800 Ln Ft; Installation Stainless Ties for 233,300; and Ground Galvanized Anchors for 26,400. The estimated quantities for the Option Year Four is for Security Wire Barbed Tape, Reinforced, 30" diameter for 230,000 Ln Ft; Security Wire, Barbed type, Non-reinforced 30" diameter for 128,000 Ln Ft; Installation Stainless Ties for 195,000; and Ground Galvanized Anchors for 22,000. The base year period will be from date of award through 12 months, Option Year I period will be from 13 months through 24 months, Option Year 2 period will be from 25 months through 36 months, Option Year 3 will be from 37 months through 48 months, and the Option Year 4 will be from 49 month through 60 months. The solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis, open to both Small and Large Businesses. The NAIC Code is 332618. The FBOP anticipates posting the solicitation to the government electronic point of entry, Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) www.fedbizopps.gov. on or about February 14, 2002. Closing due date for proposals is March 13, 2002. All responsible sources meeting the requirements listed in the solicitation may submit a proposal which will be considered by the FBOP.
