- Description
- The USDA Forest Service has a requirement for maintenance of radio and microwave communications equipment on the Shoshone National Forest. This contract will be awarded as a requirements contract with Base and 3 or 4 option years. This work includes regularly scheduled repair and preventive maintenance, and emergency repair on a call when needed basis, of some or all of the radio and microwave communications equipment on the Shoshone National Forest. This maintenance includes but is not limited to line level adjustment, testing and minor adjustments on VHF Tait Repeaters, Daniels UHF Crossband Base Stations and VHF Midland an Daniels Base Stations, VHF King Mobile and Handheld radios, IDA and Vega Remote units and Tellab interface equipment, and associated antenna systems. Some equipment modification may be necessary as part of the maintenance. The contractor shall provide all personnel, supplies, equipment, ground transportation, test equipment and other incidental work necessary to completely perform the work described in these specifications. This contract does not include warranty or factory-authorized service or repair performed by a contractor who has been certified as a service provider by the equipment maker. The Shoshone National Forest operates a microwave, and UHF/VHF radio system that, for the purpose of this contract, covers the Shoshone National Forest. This system is comprised of 1.8 and 2 gigahertz microwave radio equipment, VHF and UHF base sections, VHF tone remote repeaters, mobiles, portables, and remotes located at the following points throughout the forest: CODY SUPERVISORS OFFICE; WAPITI DISTRICT OFFICE, CRANDALL RANGER STATION, SUNLIGHT RANGER STATION, WAPITI RANGER STATION, TIMBER CREEK RANGER STATION, CARTER MOUNTAIN REPEATER SITE, CLAYTON MOUNTAIN MT REPEATER SITE, CLAY BUTTE REPEATER SITE,CEDAR MOUNTAIN CROSS BAND REPEATER SITE, WOOD RIDGE REPEATER SITE, DEAD INDIAN REPEATER SITE Cody, WY, WASHAKIE DISTRICT OFFICE Main Lander, WY, WYPO RIDGE. MICROWAVE REPEATER SITE Cody, WY, WIND RIVER DISTRICT OFFICE Dubois, WY, DICKINSON PARK; Ft. Washakie, WY, MT.
