Description
The United States Coast Guard, MLC Atlantic intends to negotiate a Sole Source contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, to JOHN CRANE ? LIPS, INC., 3617 KOPPENS WAY, CHESAPEAKE, VA, 23323, for the purchase of six (6) each maneSafe ND Bulkhead Shaft Seal, P/N TBA-US72825-01 for the USCGC HARRY CLAIIBORNE. The purpose of this Sole Source purchase is to enable repair and maintenance without dry-docking the vessel. A Request for Quote (RFQ), in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items, will be issued January 31, 2002, via the Federal Business Opportunities web page at: http://www.eps.gov/. Hard copies of the RFQ, number DTCG80-02-Q-3FA868, will not be issued. It is incumbent upon contractors to monitor the Federal Business Opportunities web page for release and all subsequent amendments. The NAICS code is 339991, with a small business size standard of 500 employees. The Coast Guard intends to purchase the bulkhead seals (6 each) F.O.B. Destination. All interested sources may submit a quote, which shall be considered by the Coast Guard. ATTENTION: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE). The Department of Transportation (DOT) Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts. Maximum line of credit is $500,000 with interest at the prime rate.
