- Description
- This solicitation invites proposals for an Indefinite Quantity Construction Contract for the Northern Alabama area. Proposal amount will be in the form of a two digit single multiplier to be applied against a unit price schedule for future work orders which include, but are not limited to, various types of repair and alteration projects for U.S.P.S. owned and/or leased buildings throughout Northern Alabama area. Multiplier awards may be made if it is considered to be in the best interests of the Postal Service. The contract essentially is a unit price standard type arrangement for a two year initial contract period with three one-year renewal options for a maximum contract value of $9,500,000. Performance and payment bonds will be required from the successful offeror. The contract amount may be extended by increments of $500,000 up to the $9,500,000 by change order and appropriate increase in bond amounts. The MINIMUM contract value is $10,000.NO PROPOSAL GUARANTEE (BID BOND) IS REQUIRED. Performance and Payment Bonds will be required from the successful offeror(s). The subcontracting goals for this contract is a minimum of 10% for minority-owned businesses and a minimum of 7% for women-owned businesses in accordance with solicitation Section H.19. Solicitation instructions, conditions and other contract documents may be examined at the Facilities Service Office, USPS, Suite 300, 4000 DeKalb Technology Pkwy., Atlanta, GA 30340-2799 and most nearby plan rooms. Credit cards are the preferred method of payment. Only offers returned via personal hand delivery and/or US Postal Service (First Class Mail, Express Mail and Priority Mail) will be considered in compliance with this solicitation. Any other carriers will be rejected. Offers will not be publicly opened. The number of offers received, identity of offerors, amount of any offer or relative standing of the offers will not be disclosed to anyone until time of contract award. The U. S. Postal Service reserves the right to reject any or all offers.
