- NA Contract Specialist: Cheryl Nielsen, 309-782-8693. Contracting Officer: Janet Hall, 309-782-1313. The intent of this sources sought synopsis is to identify viable offerors capable of performing Base Operations Services at Rock Island Arsenal, Rock Isla nd, Illinois. The estimated period of performance is five years consisting of the base year plus four option years. The effort includes, but is not limited to, the planning, programming, administering, and managing necessary to assure all public works su pport services are conducted efficiently and properly. A summary of the functions to be performed includes: facilities engineering, operations of the hydroelectric plant, water treatment and sanitary sewage systems, and government swingspan bridge. Main tenance, inspection and repair of electrical distribution system, steam generating plant, sanitary sewage and storm draining systems, fire suppression and alarm systems, buildings and structures, family housing units, roads and grounds, asbestos and pest m anagement and control are also included. In addition, the unscheduled service work, which includes but are not limited to, individual maintenance, repair, alteration or minor construction jobs and all other work as described on approved service orders and individual job orders shall be performed. The requirement as mentioned in this synopsis is currently being drafted and may change. There is no solicitation available at this time. This solicitation, if and when issued, is anticipated to be available on the Internet at the OSC Solicitation Website. Interested sources shall submit a Statement of Capability (SOC) not more than five pages long. The SOC shall include the following: Firm?s name and address; Names of two principals to contact including titl e, telephone number, e-mail address, and business size. It is essential and critical that any prospective awardee be responsible and responsive. SOC shall address the firm?s experience in providing similar services, management capabilities, former Govern ment contracts, and any other information deemed pertinent to supporting the contractor?s ability to perform the noted services. All SOC?s submitted in response to this announcement will be assessed for offeror?s capabilities to perform requested services . Contractors are required to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) prior to award of any resultant contract. Facsimile (ONLY) responses are required by COB 01 February 2002.
