- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is F38601-02-QS016. The solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. This requirement is to include, but in now way limited to, furnishing all parts, labor, materials and equipment required to inspect/repair the following: a. Railroad spur from Cane Savannah switch to the end of the switchyard at bldg 200 (approximately 5.1 miles); b. Nine switches; c. Eight paved and eight unpaved crossings. This service shall be performed monthly with at least 4 weeks interval between inspections and shall include inspections of the entire referenced trackage and components thereof in accordance with industry, state and federal specifications. Repairs shall be accomplished as needed based on the estimated quantities in the puchase order. Far provisions 52.212-1, 52.212-2,52.212-3, 52.212-4, and 52.212-5 are applicable to the solicitation. The following notes are applicable to the solicitation: 1. Quotes are due to the 20th Contracting squadron at Shaw A.F.B. no later than close of business 012302. 2. The purchase order will consist of a basic and four option years CLINS 0001-0005 each with the following subCLINS: 0001AA Monthly Track Inspections, 12 Ea; 0001AB Line Gauge (Tangent/Curve Track), 200 FT; 0001AC Replace Track (Bolt), 100 Ea; 0001AD Tighten Track Bolt, 100 Ea; 0001AE Rail Replacement, 2 Ea; 0001AF Joint Bars, 25 PR; 0001AG Furnish/Install Crossties, 100 Ea. 3.
