- Description
- The objectives of this work are to provide technical support for chemical assessment on short term notice during releases of oil and hazardous materials, primarily in coastal areas of the United States, conduct training in the area of chemical hazard assessment, identify and develop information sources that can be used to advance the state-of-the-art response operations, and provide analytical support when required. The selected firm will be responsible for providing such services as 1) responding to incident calls within one hour and being prepared to be en route to a spill site with 24 hours, 2) provide oral and written reports, 3) analyze environmental samples contaminated with petroleum and petroleum products, and 4) assess hazards associated with chemicals in the environment. The period of performance will be one base year beginning approximately 8/1/02, with four one-year option periods.
