- Current Vegetation Survey: The Forest Service of Eastern Washington is seeking proposals for Current Vegetation Survey inventory and monitoring services. The work is located in many different areas of the forest in the Colville, Wenatchee and Okanogan National Forests. Services require the contractor to furnish labor, equipment, supervision, transportation and operating supplies. The work primarily is to locate, measure and maintain Primary Sampling Units (PSUs) and provide digital delivery of data on National Forest lands. GPS sample locations and photo point work required. Work shall be in accordance with the procedures detailed in "Region 6, Inventory & Monitoring System, Field Procedures for the Current Vegetation Survey" hereafter referred to as "Field Procedures." Certification of crews to perform work is required prior to performance of field work for the season. All work shall be performed by personnel who have demonstrated the ability to read, interpret, and apply information contained in "Field Procedures" . A three year indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity firm fixed priced, service contract is contemplated, with work ordered in 2002 to be performed on the Wenatchee National Forest (280 plots), year 2003 on the Colville National Forest (148 plots), and year 2004 on the Okanogan National Forest (216 plots).
