Description
INTERNATIONAL BANKING ADVISOR: The U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Technical Assistance is recruiting individuals on a competitive basis to serve as resident banking advisor with an immediate opening in Ukraine to work directly with senior officials of the National Bank of Ukraine in Kyiv. This assignment is under the Financial Institutions Policy and Regulation Program and is available for immediate placement. This recruitment is for assignments globally and significant travel is required. QUALIFICATIONS: Treasury is seeking candidates who possess expertise in banking and bank regulation/supervision. Expertise in the areas of problem bank resolution and/or liquidation would be of additional value. Ideal candidates would have experience with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Federal Reserve, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Resolution Trust Corporation, international financial institutions, and/or commercial banks. Prior overseas experience working in challenging environments would be a distinct advantage but is not mandatory. While technical skills are essential, the ability to gain the confidence of officials in the host country is also very important. Candidates must be U.S. citizens or U.S. resident aliens. SALARY AND BENEFITS: Salaries will be negotiated in accordance with program regulations based on demonstrated salary history. Expected compensation currently ranges from $70,000 to $130,000.
