- Description
- This modification is to clarify the previous synopsis for an indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) type contract for software support for the E-2C Mission Computer Upgrade (MCU) and hardware and software support for the Next Generation E2-C Mission Simulator (NGEMS). The period of performance for this contract will be for one year with four option years. The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to negotiate this contract on a sole source basis with Northrop Grumman Corporation, South Oyster Bay Road, Bethpage, New York 11714. NGC is the designer, developer and sole manufacturer and systems integrator of the E-2C aircraft and weapon system. As such, Northrop Grumman Corporation is the only firm with the knowledge, experience and technical data necessary to provide these required supplies and services in a timely manner for the purposes of meeting the fleet's operational needs.
