- Description
- The Government is contemplating an award to a contractor who can provide samples of foreign source black powder or black powder substitutes for laboratory evaluation. Prior to the shipment of samples interested parties must send non-proprietary information describing the performance, safety and formulation characteristics of the materials. The amount of powder required is one (1) lb. (2.2 kilograms) for each type of powder or granulation. For each unique powder a granulation identical to or similar to Class 7 must be provided as a minimum. Preferably granulations identical to or similar to Classes 1, 3, and 5 should also be sent for the same powder. Each sample must be shipped with identifying information that includes material name, manufacture name and lot number.
