Description
The United States Postal Service (USPS) is seeking sources (there is not a solicitation document available) that have a STANDARD SERVICE OFFERING TO DEVELOP AND MAINTAIN SERVICES FOR A WELL-DESIGNED, ROBUST, HIGH AVAILABILITY AND EASY TO USE WEB SELF-SERVICE KNOWLEDGE DATABASE THAT PRODUCES PROVEN PROBLEM RESOLUTIONS AND REDUCTIONS IN HELP DESK CALL VOLUME The USPS Help Desk supports over 100,000 users of various COTS and custom USPS applications. To reduce the number of calls to the national Help Desk, USPS requires a Web-accessible knowledge base for routine information requests. The required system will offload calls from the Help Desk, allowing anytime, anywhere access to basic information. The Suppliers should include leveraged information for COTS applications, as well as the ability to analyze the USPS Help Desk environment to populate the knowledge base for custom USPS applications. The suppliers solution/service must be flexible to meet the demands of a highly dynamic environment. The service should be incentive based wherein USPS pays for proven successful performance. USPS is not seeking custom development but rather standard service offerings from organizations with proven experience in this area. INFORMATION describing your offering is due February 7, 2002. Please send to the United States Postal Service, National Information Systems Support Center, Advanced Computing Environment, Gena Cherry, 4110 Wake Forest Road, Raleigh, NC 27668-9700. Telephone calls to the Contracting Officer will not be accepted.
