Description

District Courtroom Renovations. The project includes a base bid with 2 options. The base contract includes all work above existing wood wainscotting throughout the 60'x40'courtroom. Includes the complete replacement of the exisiting drop ceiling and flourescent lighting(20feet high) with new gypsum board ceiling hung from the plaster ceiling support framing. Work below the wood wainscotting includes the complete replacement of the judge's bench, withness and jury boxes. Carpeting is to be replaced from the spectator rail forward. Includes installation of some wiring, conduit and cable including metal floor boxes set in concrete floor to provide upgrades to judges bench, withness box and clerk's bench. Painting of walls and ceiling above wood wainscotting, replacement of wall mounted sound absorbing boards. Option 1 includes replacement of 8 existing wood doors and approximately 8ft.high wood wainscotting. Option 2 includes replacement of carpeting from spectator rail to the rear wall and replacement of existing wood spectator benches with free-standing wooden spectator benches. The solicitation and any amendments is available at this website only. Bidders must monitor this website for updates. The solicitation will be issued on or about 2/4/02, bid opening date on or about 3/6/02. A pre-bid conference is anticipated. Drawings available only by fax request (617) 565-7145 and must include one of the following identifications: 1) A Business License, 2) DUNS Number or 3) Valid State Drivers License. No P.O. Box addresses can be used. This procurement is open to both large and small business.
