- NAICS Code: 532111 The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is seeking to lease eight (8) electrical hybrid vehicles to be delivered to the Washington Metropolitan Area by February 8, 2002. The vehicle required will have both an electric motor and gasoline engine which work in unison to power the vehicle. The gasoline engine will be capable of generating electricity for storage in the battery. The stored electricity will be used to power the vehicles in those instances where running the gasoline engine is inefficient. The vehicle sought will be able to driven at highway speeds of at least 65 miles per hour and comfortably seat four (4) adult passengers. The combined city and highway rating for miles per gallon must be at least 45. The lease will be for a period of three (3) years, to include all standard options which includes maintenance cost, the standard 15,000 miles per year and approximately $0.15 per mile above the 15,000 limit.
