- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst intends to procure one set of Prototype Boresight Adapters which is compatible with the AH-1W aircraft, Advanced Boresight Equipment (ABE) Common Model 300 and the ABE AH-1W Personality Module, and associated technical data. The prototype ABE Adapter Set shall support boresight alignment of the following AH-1W weapons, stations, and sensors: TOW Missile Launcher (TML), Tally Rack(s), port and starboard, 20 mm Gun Turret, LAU-10, LAU-61, and LAU-68 Rocket Pods, Head-Up-Display (HUD) mount, Helmet Sight System (Pilot and Gunner), Telescopic Sighting Unit (TSU) - Armament Datum Line (ADL) reference, and GCP-2C (laser on the gun). The Prototype Boresight Adapter Set shall consist of the following items: ADL Adapter, TML Adapter, Tally Rack Alignment Fixture, Rocket Pod Adapters, HUD/HSS Adapter, Gun Turret Adapter, Turret Reference Adapter, GCP-2C Laser on the gun, RABS LOS Indicator, Indicator Cable, Mono Pod, and Storage and Transit Case. The following Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) will be provided for use and/or permanent modification, which can be incorporated into the final design: Shipboard Armament Boresight Equipment (SABE) P/N 3210875-120, Rapid Armament Boresight System (RABS) P/N 2600000-1, Ejector Rack Alignment Fixture P/N 209-071-275-1, and Linkage Orientation Device (LOD) P/N 2202202-00. The Government is anticipating a Firm Fixed Price type contract. Delivery shall be NLT 9 months after contract award. The solicitation will be posted on the NAVAIR homepage located at http://www.navair.navy.mil. Select "Business" then "Doing Business With Us" and "Open Solicitations." Hard copies of the solicitation and amendments will NOT be mailed to the contractors. The solicitation will be posted on the web on or about 05 February 2002.
