- The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) has a requirement for a contractor to provide shuttle bus service between the Main Interior Building located at 1849 C Street, N.W. Washington, D.C. 20240 and the Arlington Square Building, located at 4401 N. Fairfax Drive, Arlington, VA 22203 for Service employees. The Service operates on all Government workdays between the hours of 7:50 a.m. and 5:15 p.m. The contractor will be required to provide all labor, supplies, and equipment. The vehicle shall be a minimum late model, 19-seat, handicapped-equipped, and must be licensed by the WMATC to operate over route. Vehicles are to be equipped to run on one of the following: diesel, bio-diesel, or compressed natural gas. The anticipated date of award is March 1, 2002 for a base operating period of one year with the option for four additional years. This solicitation will be available approximately 15 days after issuance of this notice with proposals due 15 days thereafter. The Service will evaluate proposals for the different types of fuel and while price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision may be based upon a combination of price and other factors including past performance and expected advantages to the use of certain types of fuel. Under normal operating conditions, interested vendors would be able to electronically access this solicitation at the electronic commerce web site at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. However, at the present time, electronic access to Department of the Interior web site is not available. Interested vendors must submit a written request to the address listed in this announcement. We will issue a new notice should access to the EC web site become available. Questions regarding the solicitation are to be directed to the Contracting Officer.
