- NA The Government has a requirement to provide school bus transportation services for dependent school children (preschool through high school) at Fort Campbell, Kentucky and Fort Bragg and Pope Air Force Base, North Carolina for the period 1 August 2002 thro ugh 31 July 2003 (plus 4 one-year option periods). Contractor shall provide all personnel, buses, equipment, tools, materials, repair parts, supervision and other items necessary to perform the service. Contractor to furnish yellow school buses, special education buses (regular vans), special education buses (vans) with wheel chair lifts and tie-downs, meeting all specifications and standard as required by the laws of the state of Kentucky and/or North Carolina (as applicable) and the federal government. Contractor to provide properly trained and licensed bus drivers, aides, monitors, and attendants as required. It is estimated that a total of 38 buses (32 regular and 6 lift buses) will be utilized at Fort Campbell. It is estimated that a total of 38 bu ses and 16 lift vans will be utilized at Fort Bragg and Pope AFB. This requirement is 100 percent set-aside for small businesses. The National American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 48541. To be considered a small business, a concern's annual receipts for the last 3 fiscal years must not exceed $5.0 million. The Federal Supply Class (FSC)/Service Code is V222. Contractors wishing to do business with the Department of Defense must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be e ligible for award(s) resulting from this solicitation. Contractors may register in CCR through the World Wide Web at www.cr2000.com or telephone 888-227-2423. Upon release to the public, the solicitation and amendments (if any) will be available for down load via the Internet at www.bragg.army.mil/www-doc/Contractors/SOLICIT.HTM. The solicitation and amendments will not be available in hard copy. Offerors are responsible for routinely checking this web site for any possible solicitation amendments that m ay be issued. No individual notification of any amendments will be provided. Offer due date and time will be included in the solicitation. See Note 1.
