Description
Sources Sought Air Combat Command Contracting Squadron, Langley AFB VA, is in the process of determining the acquisition strategy to obtain nonpersonal services for Weapons School Aircrew Training and Courseware Development at Nellis AFB, NV. The period of performance will cover a one-year base period with four, one-year options. The government expects to make an award on or about 20 Aug 02, with a one month phase in (Sep 02) and performance start date of 1 Oct 02. This acquisition will be issued as a Request For Proposal (RFP) on or about 2 Apr 02. Draft Statement of Work (SOW) will be posted on FedBizOpps starting on or about 18 Jan 02. Interested parties should review these documents and provide any comments via e-mail to this office. The Air Force will consider and respond to all inputs received. Industry response is encouraged to ensure all parties have maximum opportunity to participate in this acquisition. The government plans to use the Internet and e-mail as the primary means of disseminating and exchanging information. Hard copies will not be made available. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 611512. The government seeks industry input to determine if this acquisition should be a total set-aside under the auspice of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 19. Interested small businesses who are certified and qualified as a small business concern in NAICS 611512 are encouraged to respond and submit their notification to this office NLT COB on 25 Jan 02. Responding small business will be required to submit a capabilities package outlining their capabilities in key areas as determined by the government and relevant to the performance of this requirements (see letter attached to this notice).
