Description
Fleet & Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound (FISCPS) intends to procure two each Manual Lathes in accordance with specifications, which will be contained within the RFQ. The lathes will be a "turn-key" system to include assembly, installation, equipment testing, and training of the government operator and maintenance personnel. Data Items required include Preliminary Installation Planning Drawings, Operator/Maintenance Manuals, Recommended Consumable Spare Parts List, PCB Certification, and OSHA Compliance Certification. The lathes will be operated in a heavy-duty industrial environment and must be capable of continuous operation over an extended period of time with minimal maintenance and upkeep. The lathes must fit within a space with maximum dimensions of 16-feet long by 5-feet wide by 8-feet tall. The equipment must operate from a singe source of primary power which is 460 VAC (+/- 5%), three-phase, 60 Hz, and must not require more than 60 AMPS (at 460 VAC) of electrical power in its fully configured and operational state. All components of the equipment must be new, of current design and manufacture, and unused in prior service except as required for factory testing. Standard off-the-shelf components with proven reliability must be used wherever possible. Drawing delivery to Puget Sound Naval Shipyard (PSNS) is required within 60 days after contract award. Lathe delivery to PSNS is required 60 days after acceptance of the drawings. FOB Destination, Bremerton WA. Inspection and acceptance will be at destination. This acquisition will be conducted using FAR Parts 12 and 13 - Acquisition of Commercial Items, and Simplified Acquisition Procedures, respectively. A firm-fixed price supply type contract is anticipated. This procurement is unrestricted. All responsible sources may submit an offer that will be considered by FISC Puget Sound. When issued, the RFQ will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) web link "www.neco.navy.mil". It is currently anticipated that the RFQ will be posted at NECO on or about 31 January 2002, with a 20-day closing. All firms wishing to submit an offer are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFQ from the NECO website (WinZIP is required) and to frequently monitor that site for any amendments to the RFQ. No telephone requests will be accepted. A fax to (360) 476-8701 or an email to "julie_a_thomas@puget.fisc.navy.mil" will be accepted if you are unable to download the RFQ. No paper copies of the RFQ and/or amendments will be mailed. Failure to respond to electronically posted solicitations and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of quotes may render your offer nonresponsive and result in rejection.
