Description
The Naval Facilities Engineering Service Center (NFESC), Port Hueneme, CA is issuing this request for sources sought for a commercially available technology which will prolong the useful life of motor oil. This technology could be a better oil filter, oil additives, or new type of oil. The current Navy project involves reducing the oily waste or costs associated from disposal of used motor oils. This is a ?sources sought? announcement with the sole purpose of locating interested and qualified companies. NFESC is not seeking consultants, advisors, placement agency services, nor employees in this sources sought announcement. All information material or documents must be available to the public (or potential customer) at no charge. Respondents should provide the following information: Name/address of company, company point of contact with phone/fax number (email address if available). Please send sales or technical literature only. Please do NOT send unsolicited samples, as we cannot accept them. It is requested that all proprietary information that is not to be disseminated in government documents be clearly identified. Technical and product information on prolonging the useful life of motor oil must be submitted no later than 22 February 2002. The point of contact is Carrie P. de Jesus at (805) 982-5095. NO REIMBURSEMENT FOR ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING THIS INFORMATION WILL BE MADE. THIS NOTICE IS NOT TO BE CONTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT TO ULTIMATELY ISSUE AN IFB, RFP, RFQ, OR CONTRACT.
